A wacky, irreverent tale, The Book of Mormon is about two Mormon boys who grew up in Utah. While hoping to be sent to preach in Orlando, Florida, they are sent instead to a remote Ugandan village, a place with Old Testament problems.  Nothing they have been taught helps them with the challenges they face. To the missionaries' disappointment, the local population seems to be more focused on the poverty, famine, disease, and the despotic warlord in their midst, rather than religion.  It takes a little inventiveness, a lot of teamwork and perhaps an excommunication or two for the elders to succeed in their mission.  It's a comedic and musical fight for salvation.  Written by South Park's Trey Stone and Matt Smith and Frozen's Robert Lopez, it is a truly irreverent, hysterical, and a surprising send-up of religion, culture shock, and classic musical theatre.
