School of Rock, is the story of Dewey Finn, a struggling rock singer and guitarist who is fired from his band a few weeks before the scheduled Battle of the Bands. Dewey needs money for rent so he uses his roommate’s resume to get a job as a substitute teacher. After witnessing his students’ musical talent in their music class, he starts a new band, turning a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band who attempt to win the Battle of the Bands. This high-octane play features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and all the original songs from the movie.
