What started more than a century ago as a flea market has become home to some of the most exciting, cutting-edge home furnishings, antiques and collectibles that can be found anywhere. This popular flea market is open one weekend a month, attracts upwards of 100,000 shoppers, and provides spaces for 6,000 vendors located on hundreds of acres. It has become known by shoppers from all across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma as THE place to buy home decor, furnishings, antiques, clothing, crafts, jewelry, gifts, and collectibles. And it is a favorite of vendors, dealers, craftsmen and artists alike as the perfect venue to market their wares. After leaving Sun City we will stop for lunch on your own at Slovacek’s in West and then we will travel on to Tyler where we will stay overnight at the Hampton Inn South located in the new Villages in Cumberland. Shopping, restaurants and a movie theater await your exploration, bring a bathing suit to lounge by the pool, or just hang out and read a book. Bright and early on Thursday morning we will climb aboard the bus and head to Canton for a day of exploring the grounds. Bring a wheeled shopping cart if you desire, dress for comfort, uneven ground and with an eye to the weather. NOTE: There will be lots of walking and large crowds at this rain or shine outdoor event.
