If you have an image shot in the RAW format (That is not a TIFF or JPG) then Camera Raw can to a better job of making initial adjustments in a non-destructive way using other Photoshop tools. Often all or almost all of your adjustments can be completed in ACR including HDR and panorama images. Photoshop is best for making adjustments to specific areas; using layers to do many things that are difficult to impossible in ACR such as combining multiple files into a single image, moving part of an image to another image, retouching an image etc. After we cover ACR, we will learn about how layers are probably the most important feature of Photoshop. Another very important topic will be making selections. Addition topics will include context-aware features, making composite images, making panoramas, making HDR images, and other topics of interest to the group. Interested in learning a little more?
