Please Do Not Use the CA Dumpsters
Residents and contractors should not be using any of the CA dumpsters - these are only to be used by the CA or for events scheduled with the CA. We are especially having problems with dumpsters at Cowan Creek near the pavilion, behind the Social Center and at Legacy Park. Strangely, all of the material being dumped can be discarded in your residential trash, recycle bins or taken care of with a free city pick up.
Contractors should never use our dumpsters and should use facilities off-site.
Schedule a Free Pick Up
Residents can contact the city two times a year to schedule a free pick up of household goods they would like discarded at 512-930-3640. This contact number is on your monthly utility billing statement.
If you fill up our bins, we cannot properly clean up after events. Also, if the dumpsters cannot be reached by the trucks, the bins will NOT be emptied at all. Drivers are not allowed to exit their trucks to pick up trash - and they should not have to do this.

Session 1: June 11 - 14
Session 2: June 18 - 21
Please remember that Junior Camp will take place throughout the Sun City campus in the coming weeks. Watch for children crossing the streets and be extra mindful of the "golf cart trains" that we use to transport the campers. Please yield to them when possible.
Make sure to check the schedules with your clubs, as many are helping with junior camp.
Campers at the Pool
Junior Campers will be at the Texas Drive Outdoor Pool from 1 - 4 p.m. each camp day. June 11 - 14 and June 18 - 21.

On May 15 we had the USGA do an assessment of the Cowan Creek Golf Course and provide us with a report with their findings. In the months to come, we will have the USGA back to do an assessment of the other two courses and give us a report on them as well. In addition, we will have them report on some general challenges that all courses in our area face. If you have any questions about the report please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

Submitted by Carlton Mathis, Common Area & Irrigation Superintendent,
Weather permitting, we are planning to begin our biannual maintenance of the Native Common areas the first full week of June.
Although the majority of this process can be handled by our mowers, there are some areas that are less accommodating and will need to be handled with line trimmers. The line trimmers can be up to two weeks behind the mowers. All cuttings will be left where they fall. This is a Fire Wise exercise only, and not for aesthetic, or any other purpose.
Please find below the proposed neighborhood order of maintenance.

This new PCA amount will be assessed on electric consumption starting June 1. The average customer uses 949 kilowatt hours per month and will experience a $5.93 increase on their monthly bill.

Horticulture Club Needs LESS Help!
Please DO NOT Leave Stuff for Us
The Sun City Gardens, 141 Sun City Blvd. next to the softball field, has a problem with people leaving bags of trash and/or clippings at our gate. We DO NOT mulch this stuff and it fills our limited trash cans - which down the road, will cost us more money.
We are also no longer accepting yard art, ceramic pots, tools or any other yard items. Your generosity was appreciated but no longer necessary.
Thank you from the members of the Horticulture Club.
