GEORGE AND GERMAINE GAULIN
CELEBRATE 65 YEARS TOGETHER
On July 26, N50’s George and Germaine (Gerry)
Gaulin celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
The two met as teenagers and George knew “at
first sight” that she was the gal for him (though
Gerry took some convincing). In 1952, they wed at
Holy Family Church in Woonsocket, RI, the town
where they were born and raised. They welcomed
two daughters, Gertrude (Trudy) and Gloria, and
were part of a large family with many friends. The
couple was very active in the local French Canadian
community, where they enjoyed the music and
festivals of their heritage. Their girls eventually
grew up and flew the coop, settling in Texas and
Arizona and blessing them with five grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren. Three years ago
Trudy convinced them to move to Texas. Today
they cherish all the new friends they have made
and feel blessed to call Sun City their home.

SUN CITY TX CYCLISTS ENJOY AN EVENING OUT
Recently, members of the Sun City Texas Cyclists met at Jack’s Lounge in the Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown for happy hour.
According to most of the cyclists, “As long as I’m cycling four or more times a week, I find I can enjoy evenings out with
friends - eat and drink within reason without gaining weight.” What a great way to live! Check out their Facebook page at
