MACHINE EMBROIDERERS KEEP US IN STITCHES

Members of Fabric & Fiber’s Machine Embroidery SIG enjoy the camaraderie and each other’s company while fashioning works
of art on their sewing machines. At each get-together there is a show-and-tell where all kinds of amazing creations are shown.

Ginette Swierzy, left, created this wonderful “Fairy Tales” wall-hanging. Janet Golay, right, combined different designs for this
astonishing “Autumn” table runner.

 HARVEY RELIEF

Linda Lund, Neigh-
borhood Rep for
N-58, organized a
donation site where
neighbors could
make personal do-
nations of supplies
and necessary items
that were needed by
Texans who were im-
pacted by Hurricane
Harvey. Outstand-
ing neighborhood
support resulted
in a pick-up truck
full of water, per-
sonal items, shoes,
blankets, etc. These
items were loaded
by N-58 volunteers
and delivered to a
local business that
delivered donated
items from around
the Georgetown
area to a distribution
site in Houston.
