Visit the Golden Nugget
Casino with 1,600 slot and video poker
machines including some of the most popular
games ever created, as well as table games and
poker room. Hotel overlooks Lake Charles and rooms have 42”
tv, coffee maker, and wi-fi. The Golden Nugget boasts a marina,
boardwalk, golf course, spa, outdoor pools and hot tubs. Scooters
are available for rental. They have twelve restaurants from
gourmet eateries to casual dining and eight posh bar and lounge
areas. Our morning stop will be at Buccee’s.
Ticket cost includes transportation; hotel (2 nights); baggage
transport from bus to hotel room; $20 per day food credit on
your player’s card; 10% discount on spa packages; $109 special
golf rate (mention when making tee time).
NOTES: Bring picture ID, tag luggage with your name,
and bring cell phone. When purchasing ticket, you will
need to give birthdate, email, and street address for

William Shakespeare is the
catalyst for the invention of this musical! Set
in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom
are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck sandwiches, grilled brats, and draft beer along with kettle corn,
in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The
Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theater
involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and
Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst
the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers
realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self
– and all that jazz.
We will stop at The Domain for dinner on your own before heading
to this Broadway Across America show.

Friday, June 2, $72 pp
Depart SCPL 6 p.m.; return 10:30 p.m.
To begin our evening, dinner will
be on your own. You may select something to
eat at the Palmer Event Center, or you may
bring your favorite food dish or dessert as you
enjoy this concert in a cabaret style setting. No alcoholic beverages
can be brought into this venue.
Marvel at the extraordinary showmanship of pianist Joseph
Joubert and Broadway voices Alicia Hall Moran and Destan
Owens as they bring George Gershwin’s catalog to life. Come hear
your Austin Symphony and company perform some of Gershwin’s
most memorable melodies, such as Fascinating Rhythm, I Got
Rhythm, S’Wonderful, Summertime and more.

Wimberley Market Days - Wimberley - NEW!

Saturday, June 3, $28 pp

From a few trucks in 1964 to the 2nd
largest outdoor market in Texas, Market
Days in Wimberley is a sight to behold.
Stroll through tree shaded avenues with over
475 booths featuring items you can’t live without. You name it
– someone is selling it. Trash to treasures, jewelry to junk,
antiques to rescued relics, it’s all here for the finding.
Large concession areas offer refreshments like smoked BBQ
funnel cakes and shaved ice treats. Local musicians will be on
hand to entertain you in the spacious Lions Pavilion when it is
time to put your feet up and have a cold one.
NOTES: Concession stands require cash; most vendors accept
credit cards; ATM will be available; maps of the market will be
provided; and the Lions Club offers a package service back to
the bus for large purchases.
