By serving on an advisory committee, volunteers inform and
assist in the governance of Sun City Texas. To learn about
the activities and responsibilities of each committee, attend
a monthly meeting (schedules are listed on page six of the
Sun Rays) or visit a committee website at www.sctexas.org
by clicking on Community Association Info then on the com-
mittee of your choice.
Committee applications will be available Feb. 13 at the Activi-
ties Center, Texas Drive Fitness Center, the Social Center
and Cowan Creek Monitors Desks and on the Nominating
Committee website. The deadline to apply is Friday, March
17. Interviews will be conducted the week of April 17.

By now you have probably heard of Sun City Texas Recycles. We
are here to help you with all your questions about recycling, yellow
bags, hazardous waste disposal, trash, yard waste and more. Want
to know what to put in your trash bins, which bin to use and when
it gets picked up? Our site offers you regularly updated information
about recycling and disposal options for light bulbs, batteries, paint,
yard chemicals, medications and more, not to mention where to go
for all sorts of new and recycled environmentally friendly products,
including all the aforementioned. Most of your questions will be
answered there, and if not, there is a link you can use to ask us
questions. We guarantee you will find the information you need,
including handy sheets you will want to print out and post on

sctexas.org and click the orange Neighborhood Rep Organization
(NRO) button; then you will see “Sun City Recycles” in the column
