The Poker Club held a Texas Hold’em
no limit tournament on July 12 with 40
members participating in the event.

accomplished both of those goals when
they transformed their corner property
into a lovely garden complete with a
private rear oasis. Working in stages
and with the help of their son Darren,
who is a landscaper, their side yard
beautifully cascades into the rear of
the property full of plantings such as
Texas sage, blue agave, Pride of Bar-
bados, wax myrtle and star jasmine
vine. A blue ceramic fountain and
stone walkway work together to ramp
up the visual appeal even further. In
addition, the clever placement of the
plantings also provides Pam and Charlie
with a secluded, cozy rear porch area
to visit with friends, or enjoy their hot
tub and outdoor TV. The large xeri-
scape side beds are ruled by an ever
vigilant rooster acting as director of
whimsy. Two chinquapin oak trees act
