Sun City Texas’ advisory committees need your help! These
committees advise the CA Board of Directors and the Sun City
staff on specific matters relating to their areas of expertise.

To learn more about the specific responsibilities of each com-
mittee and its members, go to the Nominating Committee
website at www.sctexas.org (click on Community Association
Info > Committees & Task Forces > Nominating Committee
Website) and click on Committee Membership 101. You can
also visit each committee’s website and attend their monthly
meetings (listed on page 6 of the Sun Rays).

Look for applications at the Social Center, Cowan Creek, or
Activities Center monitors’ desks, Texas Drive Fitness Center
and on the Nominating Committee website. Applications must
be turned in to the Texas Drive Member Services Office or
submitted online by 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9. The Nominating
Committee will hold interviews the week of October 10 – 14.

As of press time there are openings on the following 10 com-
mittees:

Elections: 1 Modifications: 4
Emergency Management: 4 Property and Grounds: 1

Finance: 2 Wildlife: 2

Golf: 2

EMC Flu vaccine clinic
coming to Sun City

Friday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., SCB

The Emergency Man-
agement Committee will
sponsor a flu vaccine clinic
on Friday, Sept. 30, from
9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the
ballroom at the Social
Center. Medicare and
other insurances may pay
for the flu vaccine.
Walgreens will provide
Trivalent Standard and High Dose Flu vaccines and
Pneumovax and Prevnar-13 vaccines.
Vaccine consent forms will be available beside the flu vaccine
posters at all monitors’ desks between September 16 - 30.
If you are not sure which vaccines to take or have any
questions about the flu or pneumonia vaccines, check
with your physician.
