the club. Dues are $10 per resident and
that allows each member to participate in
as many of the games as he/she desires.
Texas Hold’em no limit tournament
The Poker Club will hold a $25 buy-in
Texas Hold’em no limit tournament on
Tuesday, May 10. The tournament will
consist of no more than four tables with a
maximum of 40 players. A sign-up sheet
is posted on the bulletin board in Game
Room 3. You must place your name on

The Self Defense Club’s primary goal is
of possible dangerous situations, how to
avoid them and how to escape or to defend
themselves if attacked. You will be taught
easy to learn self-protection techniques
that are very effective with a little training

– Club instructors are Sun City residents
with martial arts or other self-defense
training.
– Classes are held at the Cowan Creek
Amenity Center.
– Self-protection techniques are senior ori-
ented, easy to learn, remember and use.

accommodate the physical limitations
of each individual.
– Training is non-combative with no sig-

tice with a partner to improve your self-
protection techniques.
– The Self Defense Club membership dues
are only $10.
– Training will be offered in 2016 for mem-
bers wanting to learn how to use a cane

to learn more advanced self-protection
techniques.
Classes are offered for Sun City residents
who are members of the Georgetown Par-
kinson’s Disease Support Group.
