will feature John Howell, founder of
the Cordovan School of Art in Round
Rock. John’s 13 years as a professional
illustrator of books, magazines and
advertising qualify him to teach the
techniques of photorealism. John’s
classes are both fun and encouraging.

The WGA 9-Holers tee off on Tuesdays,
alternating weekly play among all three
Sun City golf courses. In addition, golfers
are encouraged to attend our monthly
general meetings which are held on the
second Tuesday of each month.

WHO welcomes all residents. We are a
cohesive group with a passion for caring,
sharing and serving the extended
community. Our mission is to support
existing charitable organizations with
time, donations and assistance while

fostering camaraderie, fellowship and
inclusion. And yes, men are welcome, too.
We meet the fourth Monday of the month.
The agenda includes a salad luncheon
and a presentation from a nonprofit
organization, followed by our business
meeting. The members bring the salads
and make a $10 donation at each meeting.
Annual dues are $10 and may be paid
online or at the monthly meeting. Guests
and prospective members are welcome to
join us. Just email Nina Stancil and let
her know you are coming so that we may
welcome you. Come and see WHO we are
and the great things we are doing in our
community.

New members: All new members must
pay through the sctexas.org website or
at the Member Services Office. Please
bring your ticket to the shop to sign up
for the orientation and safety class. We
maintain a fully equipped woodshop with
as well as tours to beautiful Portugal,
saws, routers, sanders, hand tools and
clamps. We sell a variety of hardwoods
to our members.
We provide training classes and extensive
library resources. We conduct orientation
classes twice a month and enhanced
classes quarterly. Our shop is set up to
accommodate all levels of woodworking.
Any member can participate in Toys
for Tots, making toys for children at
Christmas; we also make projects for
Camp Discover and help kids fighting
cancer assemble them.
We sell craft items at the woodshop and
at the Hill Country Arts and Craft Fair.
We also do furniture repair.

to make a fresh start by volunteering and
participating in Zoomers activities. We

Zoomers has many very active social
groups with special interest in books,
table games, bowling, movies, dining out,
gourmet cooking, wine and beer tasting.

ZOE (Outside Events)
have been working diligently to set up
fun-filled excursions and trips, all of which
are listed on our ZOE website.
Some of the trips we have planned include
a great Motown Broadway show, an excur-
sion to Palo Duro, a trip featuring Nash-
ville, Memphis, Neches and New Orleans,
South Africa and a charming Christmas
Market Cruise.
We continue to add excursions so be sure
and check the Zoomers website frequently.
Dates for next year’s Zoomers 2016 golf
tournaments are: March 6, April 3, May
1, June 5, September 25 and October 16.
