Women Helping Others (WHO) is a newly
chartered Sun City club that welcomes all
residents. We are a cohesive group with a
passion and purpose for caring, sharing
and serving the extended community. Our
mission is to support existing charitable
organizations with time, donations and
assistance while fostering camaraderie,
fellowship and inclusion. And yes, men
are welcome, too.
We meet the fourth Monday of the month.

Our speaker in November is Gina Young,
representing STARRY, a “Children at
Heart” ministry. STARRY’s mission is
to support children, youth and parents
through services that protect, educate
and promote strong families. Gina will
be speaking to us about their foster care
services.
We have some exciting goals for 2015, in-
cluding learning arts and crafts that will
be created and later sold, volunteering for - all are welcome. Contact Karl Fiedler at

Wheels golf tournament and participating
in the Christmas Meals on Wheels event.
We have recently completed a special fund

As of Oct. 1, your $40 initial dues pays
for the rest of this year and all of 2016.
We maintain a fully equipped woodshop
with jointers, planers, table, band and
miter saws, routers, sanders, hand tools,
clamps and tables for assembly. We sell at
our cost a variety of hardwoods.
We enjoy crafting “Toys for Tots,” to pro-
vide wooden toys for children at Christ-
mas; we also make kit projects for “Camp
'LVFRYHU\µDQGKHOSNLGVÀJKWLQJFDQFHU
assemble them. All members are welcome
to enjoy working on these worthy causes.
Toys for Tots is a wonderful way to work
with others to acquire or improve your
woodworking skills.
To raise funds for these projects we sell
craft items at the woodshop throughout
the year, do furniture repair at the wood-
shop, and sell craft items at the Annual
Hill Country Arts & Crafts Fair.

Zoomers has many very active social groups
with special interest in books, table games,
bowling, movies, dining out, gourmet cook-
ing, wine and beer tasting.
ZIE (Inside Events) Current Members
Only: The 2015 Zoomer Gala will be held
Dec. 14 in the Social Center Ballroom from
6–10:30 p.m. The price will be $37 per per-
son. Music by The Grooves. Catering by
Bocados Catering. Each couple will have
a portrait taken before the event. Sign-up
will be held on Nov. 4 in Cowan Creek
Salado Room from 8 a.m. to noon.
Outside Events volunteers have been busy
