Dulcimers - a SIG of Singers
We continue making music together and
present gigs at local nursing homes. Len
Swanson, a relatively new member, has
composed many tunes. Each month he
sends us a new tablature to learn. We
always look forward to finding our “Tune
of the Month” in our email box.
Practice is every Saturday morning from
10 a.m. to noon and every Tuesday from
6 to 8 p.m. in Rooms 3 and 4 of the Ac-
tivities Center. You are welcome to visit. & Neighborhoods > Chartered Clubs >

Social Bridge

We play four games per weeek in the
Activities Center on Texas Drive.
Bridge begins at noon; players should ar-
rive at 11:45 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays, Room 1. Bridge takes place
on Thursday in Room 3 and begins at 5:30
p.m.; players should arrive at 5:15 p.m.

and have some fun! Our new grandstand
cover makes watching games more com-
fortable and enjoyable.
Our summer season starts on June 1 and
ends July 30, with games on Mondays
and Thursdays starting at 9 a.m. There

are also regular practices and pick-up
games at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fri-
days. We invite all new and existing resi-
dents to check out our senior slo-pitch
softball. There are also very active and
self-supporting traveling teams, the Sun
City Warriors, for the more competitive
players.

tion, schedules and calendar of events.

The Solos Chartered Club is open to all
Sun City Texas residents. Our goal is to
have a good time participating in social,
intellectual and sporting activities, in-
cluding bowling, golf, adventure group,
card games, day trips, book club, wine
tasting, dining out, traveling, etc. Dues
for 2015 are $20 and may be paid on the
Sun City Texas website or at the Member
Services Office. At Thirsty Thursday, we
celebrate birthdays, have potluck meals
and share in social activities. Bring your
beverage of choice, a glass and let us wel-
come you to our family of friends.

Stained Glass

The Stained Glass Club is open for visi-
tors Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. We invite you to come by for a visit
and watch our members create beautiful
pieces of art. We work with copper foil,
lead came and glass, which is put into
kilns and melted into various shapes.
Come and express yourself. Classes are
offered throughout the year to learn vari-
ous techniques. Check the studio’s class
schedule for the technique you’re inter-
ested in.
The Stained Glass Club will have their
next meeting June 9 at 3 p.m. in the stu-
dio. We will feature a demonstration on
the use of the tools that the club owns
and that are available for use.

Beginners (phases 1 and 2): 2 to 4 p.m.
Intermediates (phases 2 and 3):
4 to 5:45 p.m.
5:45 to 7:30 p.m.
All June dances will be in the Atrium:
June 21 and 28.

Sundancers held a special “Red, White
and Blue Dance” on May 11. The eve-
ning began with a BBQ dinner at 5:30
p.m., followed by the regular workshop
and dance schedule.
