New Resident Orientation
Thursday, February 19,
8:30 a.m., Social Center Ballroom
If you are new to Sun City Texas, please join us for the New
Resident Orientation. At 8:30 a.m., the Club Fair begins.
Enthusiastic members will visit with you and tell you about
their chartered clubs.
The Community Association staff presentation begins at 9:15
a.m. and ends around 10:15 a.m. You will have an opportunity
to meet the staff, learn how your Association operates, and
gather valuable information. Refreshments will be served.
Resident Directors’ Open Session
Wednesday, February 18, 3 p.m., CCG/F
The Resident Directors’ Open Session is an excellent oppor-
tunity for residents to discuss matters listed on the February
Board Workshop Agenda with the Resident Directors prior
to their taking action on the items during the February 26
Board Meeting. Residents are also welcome to discuss any
other topics with the Resident Directors. All Sun City Texas
residents are encouraged to attend the Open Session, the CA
Board Workshop and the CA Board Meeting.

It’s time to apply for a CA Committee! A total of 21 positions
are currently available on ten committees. These committees
and their positions available are as follows:
• Chartered Clubs - Nonsports (1)
• Communications (4)
• Covenants (2)
• Elections (2)
• Emergency Management (2)
• Golf (1)
• Landscaped Maintained Homes (3)
• Property and Grounds (3)
• Sports (1)
• Wildlife Management (2)

click on Committees & Task Forces; click on the committee
of your choice. Committees and their meeting times are also
listed on the sixth page of each month’s
Sun Rays

Committee application forms and information brochures will
be available at the Social Center and Cowan Creek Monitor
Desks, Activities Center, Texas Drive Fitness Center, and
Putters Café starting February 2. Look for the orange and
blue “Get Involved” banners. The deadline to apply is Friday,
March 13. Interviews will be conducted the week of April 13.
