Stained Glass Club

Community Association

The Stained Glass Club was founded as a Chartered Club in September 1999 (click here for timeline), with the mission to provide stained glass enthusiasts and beginners and a place to gather, work and learn from each other.  Since that time, the Club has grown to include dedicated studio space with grinders, several glass saws and 3 kilns.

Most people who want to join the Club have never worked with any glass medium, so experience or training is necessary.  We offer our Introduction to Copper Foil to teach you the basic steps; we'll discuss the safety issues of glass and how our equipment works.  If you have previous experience in glass arts or have taken classes elsewhere, contact the Club President.  Please see Membership/Intro Class (on the left) for more details.

Members work in cold and warm glass techniques as well as mosaics & lead came. Our studio is a wonderful place to work as members are welcoming and friendly.  Skill levels range from very new beginner to expert level talent.  One of the greatest strengths of the Club is the encouragement and willingness to help members learn new glass skills and perfect  their art.  In addition to creating your own stunning pieces of art, members have the option to sell their creations in the studio and at the annual craft fair.

We have a large variety of equipment for members to use - grinders, saws, belt sanders, kilns, many hand tools, jigs, circle & strip cutters, etc.  For a partial list, please click here.
