Dance Session Schedule 2024

Here is a schedule of how our weekly dance sessions are conducted:

THE RETREAT:   Check calendar for any changes.

             Absolute Beginners:  12:30 - 1:30 pm. ONLY the first Sunday of the Month usually in the LSR room at the Retreat. The very basics of line dancing will be taught.

On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the Month, extra sessions are held.  These sessions focus on the dances currently being taught or previously taught so that members can get additional practice.
            Beginners:   1:30 - 2:30 pm
            Transitions: 2:30 - 3:30 pm

New Beginners & Transition classes Tuesday evenings at The Atrium from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Texas Jam Dances: Wednesday Evenings. (check calendar for location and times)

COWAN CREEK: (F/G room)
           Intermediate:  Thursdays - 8:00am - 10:00am

SUN CITY BALLROOM:    Doors Open 12:00  - Dancing Begins 12:05 pm

We Meet in the Ballroom every Wednesday

• Beginners: 12:05 - 12:55 pm – Teaching dances in rotation slowly with lots of repetition. Usually two new dances will be taught each month in this class, and a review of the previous month's two dances.
• Transitions: 1:05 - 1:55 pm – Review and practice of previously taught Transitions dances (less teaching & more dancing). The steps to the dances will be called out. New dances will be taught periodically.
• Easy Intermediate: 2:00 - 2:50 pm – Review and practice of Easy Intermediate session dances being taught. Usually one new dance taught monthly which is reviewed weekly all that month.

All members can attend any or all of the sessions each week. Newcomers are free to attend three times before joining to see if they like it. Member’s short-term house guests are invited to attend and dance.

We want everyone to enjoy this club and we hope this helps everyone decide where they feel they can enjoy the sessions the most.

Pattern Dancing is held on every Thursday of the Month in the Atrium from 6 - 8pm. Contact Betty or Larry Wyer for more information.
