Frequently Asked Questions

  •  Where can I get two-step lessons?
    • The Georgetown Recreation Center occasionally offers lessons.  Click here for more information.   
    • Mavericks in Pflugerville is now offering lessons on Friday evenings.  Also check here.   
    • The Broken Spoke in Austin offers lessons.  
    • Some other nearby venues may offer lessons occasionally.  Click here for links to the other nearby venues.


  • When/Where Do Tickets Go on Sale?
    • Tickets go on sale at 9 am on the Monday 10-13 days prior to the dance. 
    • Tickets are available on the SCTX ticketing system here or in-person at the CA office. 
    • Guest tickets are available seven days after ticket sales begin, if the dance is not sold out.  


  • Can I Help Cleanup After the Dances?
    • Club members and volunteers, we appreciate those wanting to help clean up tables at a dance; however, we ask that if you exit before 10 pm, please leave ice buckets, water pitchers and decorations on the table.
    • Trash, bottles, cups and empty cans can be thrown away on your way out. 
    • Leftover liquids go in the 5 gallon buckets, and not in ice buckets or water pitchers.
    • Help emptying tables after the dance has ended at 10 pm is always appreciated, however, we want to be respectful to the band and to all the attendees that stay until the end. Please do not start cleaning up prior to 10 pm.  

     

  • How do I volunteer to help with ticket taking, setup/decoration, teardown?   The club Secretary, Megan O'Hearn manages the volunteer ticket takers.  For other volunteer positions please contact Steve Kelley, Club President at (512) 639-0539, or Kathy Kelley, Decorating Chairman (512) 630-7678.
