Tickets for this event go on sale on Monday, October 2 @ 8 a.m. Join us for a great jump start into this most wonderful time of the year! On the first day of December the charming German town of Fredericksburg becomes a picture perfect postcard complete with a 26' German Christmas pyramid and a 30' Christmas tree. Amid sparkling light displays dotting the silhouette of this historic downtown are over 150 shops and vendors. From art galleries and boutiques, find creations by a variety of local artists, women's fashions, vintage to contemporary, antiques, books, western wear, gourmet food and award winning wine from local wineries. Don’t forget the sausage, schnitzel, sugar cookies and strudels! Fredericksburg is filled with a variety of restaurants for you to enjoy dinner on your own, or you may want to simply sample many of the German delights along the way. In the evening we will enjoy the annual Light the Night Christmas Parade. The parade, filled with floats, music, lights and fun, travels down Main Street to the Marktplatz and back, providing plenty of photo opportunities. Just smile and say Käse! As we say auf wiedersehen to Fredericksburg we will travel down the road to Johnson City. This quaint town is filled with even more dazzling holiday lights. If weather permits we will take a short stroll under an entire block of magnificent old oak trees strung with over 1 million white lights covering the entire canopy.
