The mission of the Photo Discussion SIG is to provide a venue for photographers who want to receive critiques/evaluations of their images. We want evaluations to be positive and to offer help with making better photos. 

PROCESS

All entries will be submitted to a certified PSA judge who will make written comments for each image. The judges' written comments will be distributed to all SIG participants before the SIG meeting.

SIG leaders will show images at the SIG meeting and invite questions and comments about the judge's comments and the image itself. Focus of the comments will be on the positive attributes of the image as well as compositional elements such as placement of the subject, depth, and balance. Sharpness, exposure, focus and post-processing will also be discussed where appropriate.

MEETING INFORMATION

  • When: the 3rd Wednesday of every month except June, July and August. Check the Photo Club's calendar in case there are changes.
  • Meeting time: 10am, Game Rooms 1/2, Activities Center

PHOTO SUBMISSION

  • Link: To submit your photos via Dropbox for the regular meetings click here.
  • Number of Photos: You may submit up to two images
  • Photo Size: There is no limit to the image size, but your images should be at least 2000 pixels on the long side.
  • Filename of submitted photos: Please use this title format for your image:Title.jpg Dropbox will attach your name when you upload the file
  • Photos are due: by 6:00pm on the first day of the month.
