Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Drive-thru LHPP
Start cleaning out your medicine cabinet in preparation for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, when you can safely dispose of unwanted and expired medications at the Legacy Hills Park Pavilion. There is no need to get out of your vehicle as there will be a drive-thru lane at the Legacy Hills Park Pavilion. Just hand your items to a Lifesteps volunteer in the parking lot. It is not necessary to keep your medications in their original containers, a plastic zip bag for pills is acceptable and appreciated.

Needs Your Help
We are looking for someone who would like to volunteer just twice per month. If that sounds like you, we have just the opportunity! The Genre Committee meets twice a month in the French Room of the Social Center. During this approximately 2-hour session, the book donations to the library are processed. The Genre Committee determines the book genre, then affixes a label to the book spine.

Each of the highlighted abbreviations above are the location of an event. SCB means Social Center Ballroom. LHPP is the Legacy Hills Park Pavilion. CCG/F is the Cowan Creek Georgetown/Florence Room.
At the top of this eblast is a link to the page that decodes each of these acronyms (see photo). So the next time you are not sure what ACA or CCAN means, follow the link and find out. Hint: Sometimes we abbreviate Sun City group names, too. They are on the list as well.

Wilco Sheriff's Posse Casino Night
The Williamson County Sheriff's Posse Casino Night Fundraiser will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Joe Kott American Legion Post 317 in Jarrell. Live music, heavy hors d'oeuvres, gambling, suds and prizes. Tickets are $125 per couple. Contact Crystal at 512-848-7869 to purchase tickets.

Holiday Home Tour

Presented by the Kiwanis Club of Sun City Georgetown, the Holiday Home Tour is a special event each year. Tickets are on sale now and are $10 in advance or $15 if purchased at the tour homes. Purchase tickets from Kiwanis Club members, at the Member Services Office or on the Sun City website. You may also buy them at:
- Georgetown Visitors Center, 103 W. 7th Street.
- First Texas Bank in Sun City and 5321 Williams Drive.
- All proceeds benefit Williamson County youth.
