Flu & Pneumonia Shot ClinicFriday, September 29 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. • BallroomThe Sun City Texas Emergency Management Committee will host this Flu & Pneumonia Shot Clinic. Vaccine consent forms will be available beside the flu vaccine posters at all Monitors’ desks from Sept. 17 - 29. Medicare and other insurances may pay for the flu vaccine so bring your Medicare or insurance card to the clinic. All insurance forms will be submitted by Walgreens.
Walgreens will provide standard and high-dose flu vaccines as well as the Pneumovax and Prevnar-13 pneumonia vaccines. Guest speakers include: - Rob Galbraith, Director of Property Underwriting at USAA, will discuss USAA’s reduction in the fire coverage premium.
- Kari Hines, Wildland Urban Interface Specialist with Texas A&M Forest Service, will discuss how a community qualifies as Firewise.
- Georgetown Fire Department will offer an update on their programs and activities and may have equipment on display.
