RINGTAIL CAT LITTLE DAMSEL ON A BIG LEAF BY SUE GAVRON
A ringtail cat paid a morning visit to Paul Robertson of neigh-
borhood 53. Paul shared some interesting trivia along with his ONLINE: SCTEXAS.ORG
photo. In 1968, Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine chose the ringtail
cat as its mascot and held a “name our mascot” contest. Emma
Hypolite of Midland came up with the winning name, Tutor. The
“Tutor Topics” graphic accompanied articles in the magazine
and provided additional information on the subject at hand.
