down roots in the vast expanse between Dallas
and San Antonio creating a European vacation for modern day-

Our day trip begins at Buc-ee’s in Bastrop where you can purchase
kolaches, the Czech breakfast of champions. Pick your favorite,
grab a coffee, then sit back and relax as we make our way through
a countryside dotted with Czech and German communities to
the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum in Schulenburg. Dedicated
to the brothers who pioneered miniature aviation, it is sure to
take you back to younger days. Lunch is next at the Oakridge
Smokehouse, an all-you-can-eat buffet of home cooked comfort
foods, set inside a German country store.
After lunch, it is on to the Spoetzel Brewery where Shiner beer is
still hand-crafted, one brew at a time. A one hour walking tour
of the brewery will be followed by a tasting of Shiner craft beers.
