WHO welcomes all residents. We are a
cohesive group with a passion for caring,
sharing and serving the extended com-
munity. Our mission is to support exist-
ing charitable organizations with time,
donations and assistance while fostering
camaraderie, fellowship and inclusion. We
meet the fourth Monday of the month. The
agenda includes a salad luncheon and a
presentation from a nonprofit or public
service organization, followed by our busi-
ness meeting. The members bring either
a salad or dessert to share and can make
an optional $10 donation at each meet-
ing. Annual dues are $10 and may be paid
online or at the monthly meeting. Guests
and prospective members are always wel-

Our speaker for July will be Linda
Lipscomb with Blue Santa. Linda became

teers. Financial donations are critical
and while most of us know a little about
what the Blue Santa group does, Linda
will give us more insight to the program.

During the months of July through
September the shop will be closed for
an expansion of its facilities.
Member-made crafts are always available
for sale at the woodshop. If you have a
piece of furniture to be repaired, we do
that. Drop by and see our display of crafts
and take a tour of our shop, especially
after the expansion is over.
We maintain a fully equipped woodshop
with jointers, planers, table, band and
miter saws, routers, sanders, hand tools
and clamps. We have various hardwoods
for members to buy.
We provide training classes and library
resources. We conduct orientation classes
twice a month and enhanced classes quar-
terly. Our club and shop accommodate all
levels of woodworking.
New members: All new members must
pay through the sctexas.org website or at
the Member Services Office. Please bring
your ticket to the shop to sign up for the
orientation and safety class and our one
on one training.
Tots by making toys for children at Christ-
mas; we also make projects for Camp Dis-
covery and help kids fighting cancer.
