The OBG is where the “young at heart”
dance to the music of the golden oldies.
The club is open to all residents. The
classic hits of the past will be featured
in five dances scheduled throughout the
year and performed by the very best
of area rock ’n’ roll bands in the Social
Center Ballroom. OBG dances for 2017
are scheduled on the following dates: July
15, Sept. 23 and Nov. 11.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dances start
at 7 p.m. BYOB and snacks. Ice and
water will be provided. Dues are $10 per
person and entitle the member to attend
all OBG dances at no additional charge.
Non-members and guests are welcome
to attend any event at $10 per person
payable at the door. Period dress is
recommended but not required.

Safety Tip: Blacktop and concrete hold
a lot of heat. Your pet can suffer severe
burns, especially to the pads of their feet, the club through the Sun City Texas

Center. Social time starts with cookies
and conversation at 1:45 p.m. The general
meeting begins at 2:15. Visitors are
welcome.
Photographs on display: Members’
photos are exhibited at the Activities
Center, Cowan Creek Amenity Center,
the Legacy Hills Grille and the club
website. Two photographers are featured
each month, one for the solo exhibit in
the Activities Center and the other for
the Photographer of the Month at Cowan
Creek. Member photos are exhibited in
the Healing Hearts Gallery at St David’s
Hospital in Georgetown through July 7.
Special Interest Groups: SIG meetings
are held in the Photography Rooms in
the Activities Center, Rooms 1 and 2.
Current SIGs are: Competition, Creative
Photography, iDevices Photography/Video
CCCS, Post Processing, PSA Print and
PSA Digital are on hold for the summer
and will return in September.
Field Trips: Monthly field trips offer
There is a session prior to the field trip
to discuss details and logistics; another
get-together takes place after the trip to
share experiences and photographs. The
group will go to the LBJ Library in Austin
on July 21. Register on the club calendar
to attend.
Membership: The 2017 dues are payable
online. Beginning July 1, dues will be
$6 for the first person and $5 for each
additional family member. You may join

Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun, active game that
combines elements of tennis, badminton,
and ping pong. Played on a doubles’
badminton court with paddles and a
perforated plastic ball, all it requires are
to play. Whether you are new or seasoned
