Bring those old bills, personal documents and bank statements
to the community-wide Shred Day on Friday, April 21! Three
shred trucks will be available. Each household may bring up to
five (5) bags or file boxes. This is a FREE service for residents
of Sun City Texas only.
What you CAN shred: Paper, personal documents, bank
statements, old bills, etc. You do not have to remove staples,
paper clips or binder clips.
What you CANNOT shred: No plastic bags, plastic items,
3-ring binders, CDs or other media, x-rays, cardboard, or phone
books (commercial or residential).
Remember, keep your current Sun City Texas Directory and
deposit it in the CA’s blue bin next to the tennis courts in June
when the new Directory comes out. The CA will securely dispose
of it, protecting your personal contact information.
Covenants Committee news
Submitted by Karen Rubin, Vice Chair, Covenants Committee
Although the Covenants Committee is sometimes called “The Com-
mittee You Never Want to Hear From,” its role is to help enforce
the Sun City Community Association rules and regulations. It
helps to protect our property values, our community assets and
our relationships to make Sun City Texas a valued place to live.
The committee consists of five resident members appointed by
the Board of Directors to serve two-year terms. Members are
supported by a Community Association staff liaison. The com-
mittee addresses violations of the Governing Documents and CA
Policies such as – but not limited to – the CC&Rs and the Design
Guidelines. In accordance with its charter, the committee focuses
on resolving issues by modifying behavior through various ac-
tions, including informal hearings, education, sanctions and/or
fines. The committee does have independent authority to impose
sanctions from the Board of Directors. All of its work is carried
out in a strictly confidential manner.
To report a possible violation of community rules and regulations,
contact Carl Zimmerman, the Director of Community Standards
at [email protected] or to communitystandardsof-
[email protected]. Include specific background information – your
complaint, how long it has been occurring, exact location/ad-
dress, photos if available, your name and contact information. The
situation will be investigated and evaluated by the Community
Standards team in strictest confidence and assigned to the ap-
propriate Community Association committee or the Covenants
Committee if required.
You may also contact the resident members of the Covenants Com-
mittee by email at [email protected]. All communication on
reported complaints and follow up actions is strictly confidential.
