Wounds: Healing them Once and for All

Thursday, Sept. 15, 2 p.m., CCW

Hosted by: Bluebonnet Wound Center & Hyperbarics,
Dr. James McKinney

RSVP to [email protected]

Modern wound care developed as a medical specialty, on its’
own, over the past 20 years as a growing population of patients
were in need of the most recent advances in wound healing
and infection control. With so many people living longer with
diabetes, arterial disease, lymphedema, and venous disease,
the needs of this population caused the development of wound
care as a unique medical specialty. By definition, a chronic
wound is any wound that hasn’t healed within 30 days, but
it isn’t uncommon for patients to present with 10 or 20 year
old wounds just because they haven’t seen a properly trained
wound care specialist.

Drawing upon his 20-year history in wound care, Dr. James
McKinney is proud to announce the opening of his new location
in Georgetown for the care and treatment of all types of acute,
subacute, traumatic, and chronic wounds. He can treat wounds
with advanced tissue substitute products such as Apligraft,
Epifix, and Theraskin in addition to the use of negative pres-
sure wound therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

If you or a loved one has a wound from which you would like to
be free, then you owe it to yourself to attend this short seminar
to learn how modern approaches to wound care can be quite
dramatic. You have nothing to lose, other than your wound.

For more information or to RSVP please feel free to contact
Bernice McKinney at 815-848-1703 or [email protected]
