New players and guests are always wel-
come to play with us. Members play at 8
a. m. Monday through Saturday during
the summer months and at 1 p.m. when
the weather is colder. Members are al-
ways ready to teach anyone interested in
learning how to play the game.
Our club dues are only $12 for the year
and bocce balls and yardsticks are avail-
able in the small bin next to the club shack [email protected]
for guests to use.
We have many social and competitive
events scheduled for this year. Check
our bulletin board by the courts for this
info. We invite all Sun City residents to
try the game and then consider joining
our club and participating in the special
events that all members enjoy. You may
join by using the Sun City Texas website
or by making your check out to SCTXCA
and paying at the Member Services Office.
High scorer for the month was Don Webb
with two 5-point frames.
Bocce Fact of the Month: Our equip-
ment consists of nine balls. The smallest
of these is called the pallino. It is rolled photos and other materials related to club and clay are sold to members at cost. Dues

bocce balls, each weighing about 2 pounds,
is rolled by each team in an effort to get
them as close to the pallino as possible.
