mountain laurel edged with variegated
liriope sits inside the L of the walk. Un-
der the trees, spineless prickly pear,
Mexican feather grass, dwarf yaupon
and a Texas palmetto mingle with red
yucca, salvia greggii, blue plumbago
and turk’s cap.
In contrast to the front, the small back
yard gets plenty of morning sun and
abuts an always sunny savannah-like
green belt. A large deck made for re-
laxing and entertaining rises six feet
above the lawn, dominating this area.
The plantings are simple. Loropetlum,
esperanza and bottlebrush soften the
walls of the house and deck, while pink
crepe myrtles add interest in the yard.
