potential disruptions to a player during their round and

during normal playing hours.
12. Q: What is being done by the CA about providing storage
space for Sun City’s chartered clubs to store club items?
A: We are currently working with the developer on
many items related to the expansion and growth of the
community. The storage issue is being addressed and
hopefully we will know more as this process progresses.
13. Q: Why do we trap deer?
A: Our deer management program seeks to remove deer
where there are too many deer trying to live in too small a
habitat. This management practice ensures that healthier
deer will thrive in the existing habitat.
14. Q: Where do the deer go once they are captured?
A: For the past two years, all of the deer captured at Sun
City have gone to a state-licensed meat processor. The
meat is packaged, frozen and then given to needy families.
15. Q: What about those ugly vultures?
A: The newest wildlife challenge, and perhaps the most
difficult, is managing the vultures that call Sun City
home. With the help of our wildlife consultant, we have a
federal permit (yes, vultures are protected by the federal
government) to remove vultures. This involves disrupting
the roost by sound (air horns) or euthanizing a small
number. The use of the air horns has been very effective,
and we will only euthanize in extreme situations. The
good news is vultures are migratory and do not stay year-
round. A good balance of wildlife in Sun City is our goal.
We will never be able to eliminate conflicts with wildlife;
but, hopefully, we can manage issues as they arise. The
wonderful wildlife in the area is why many of us made
Sun City our home.
