members. Those winning all three of their

Ben Compagno and Don Webb.
The latest league play with 16 members
participating was completed with Don
Webb (first), Jerry Cross (second) and
Russ Ruff (third).
Our congratulations go out to the high
scorers, and all the members participating
in the competitive events.
Bocce Fact of the Month: When is a bocce
ball “dead?” Whenever a player’s bocce
ball hits the backboard without striking
another ball or the pallino, the bocce ball Country Western Dance
is considered a dead ball and is removed
from play until the next frame.

The club brings together automotive
enthusiasts and lovers of the Chevrolet
Corvette to share their common interests.
Membership is not limited to Corvette
owners. Membership is open to any Sun
City Texas resident with an interest
in current and classic cars, automotive
history or the automotive community.

Monthly dances offer traditional country
western dancing in the ballroom. Dances
have recorded music or a live band. Ice
and water are provided. Please bring your
own beverages and snacks.
Membership is $12 annually and covers
admission to monthly dances with
recorded music. Additional fees may be
charged for special events. Please check
the club website for the club’s schedule
of dances. You may pay club dues on the
Sun City website under the club section
or by making your check out to SCTXCA
and paying at the Member Services Office.
Dates for the remaining dances in
2015 are: Friday, October 16; Sunday,
November 22; and Tuesday, December 29.

Come express your creativity with us!
In our five-room studio, members create
objects for both practical use and visual
beauty. Equipment, tools, glazes, brushes
and clay are sold to members at cost and
dues are $12 a year.
The studio is open every day of the week.
Members’ creations are displayed in the
windows of the club as well as on its
website.
Come visit our studio behind the Fabric
& Fiber Club and learn about ceramics,
hand building, wheel throwing and china
painting. Monitors will guide you on a
short tour and tell you about upcoming
classes.
Ceramics: Existing forms, such as plates,
bowls, vases, animals, Christmas trees
and Santa Clauses can be painted and
glazed to your own design.
Hand Building: For those who like to
sculpture from scratch, red or white, and
low- or high-fire clays are available.
