Karen McBride took her 93-year-old mother to Alaska to go
birdwatching. While there, they saw many sights including this
salmon fishing gear - minus the fisherman - (right) and enjoyed
a beautiful day on the Homer Spit, above.

photo. We had just passed this sculpture, and I knew there were
some children on the path behind us. I turned to see their reaction
and witnessed this ‘eye catching’ scene.”
