ST. JOHN’S UMC ANNUAL
HARVEST FEST
St. John’s UMC will host their 56th An-
nual Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 4
at the Community Center in San Gabriel
Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A turkey din-
ner with trimmings will be served, and
entertainment and a silent auction will
take place throughout the day. Doors open
at 10 a.m., serving will begin at 11 a.m.
continuing through 6 p.m. Live auction at
2 p.m. $10 for adults, $6 for children under
12. Half of all proceeds will be donated to
the AnnunciationMaternityHome and the
Wesleyan Homes.
GARAGE SALE FOR VETERANS
The Abe Harrison American Legion Aux-
iliary will host a garage sale to benefit
veterans of Williamson County on Friday,
October 17 and Saturday, October 18 from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2204 Hunters Glen in
Georgetown. Donations will be accepted
until October 5 (no clothing please). Contact

ANNOUNCES FALL 2014
VIEWING NIGHTS
The FountainwoodObservatory’s Fall 2014
public viewing nights are as follows:
Saturday, October 4, from 8-10:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 15, from8-10:30 p.m.
The viewing nights are free, but donations
are encouraged to help maintain the ob-
servatory. The observatory is located on
the northeast side of campus adjacent to
the Rockwell Baseball Field (see #6 on the
campusmap:
