ALL AT ONCE

One of my favorite times was this sum-
mer when all the kids and grandkids
came to see us in Sun City Texas all at
once. One family came from San Diego,
and the other from Denver. We had a
blast—we did everything from fishing
at Berry Creek Pond and bat watching
in Austin, to swimming! It’s rare that
we can all get together at one time! We
celebrated my birthday and Father’s Day.
Our grandkids are ages 7, 5 and 4. Here’s
a picture of the whole family.
Summers at the Pool

Sue and I have lived in Sun City since
2006, having moved fromAustin, Texas.
My greatest joy over the years has been
taking our grandchildren swimming.
We have 11 grandchildren, eight boys
and three girls, with a granddaughter
arriving in October. We enjoy playing
water volleyball, and I like to put the
grandchildren in what I call “Bubble
Jail”, which is the bubble bench. And,
of course, the grandchildren enjoy going
around the “lazy river” and having me
chase them in the pool. All of us look
forward to being together for summer
fun at the Fitness Center pool and we are
grateful for this wonderful opportunity
given to us by the Sun City Texas Com-
munity Association.
