Less than a year ago, the Couples Golf
Association was but a twinkle in the eye
of a few folks who saw a need for such
a group in the Sun City golfing commu-
nity. Since receiving its official status as
a chartered club in January, the Couples
Golf Association has grown by leaps and
bounds! Current membership is at 250
with new members joining weekly.
CGA play days are every third Saturday,
rotating around the three Sun City cours-
es. Each play day features fun formats
such as Step Aside Scrambles, Divorce
Court, Lone Ranger, Scramble for Two,
Gender Gap, and Chapman, to name a few.
The CGA Club Championship Tourna-
ment is scheduled for Friday, October 17
at Cowan Creek and Saturday, October
18 at Legacy Hills with a 1 p.m. shotgun
start both days. An awards banquet will
follow play on October 18 from 5 to 8 p.m.
at The Oaks. You can sign up for this event
and other play days by visiting our website
at
> Clubs & Groups >
Chartered Clubs > Golf, CGA.
Remember, you must be a member of the
CGA to sign up and play in these events.
Membership dues are only $7.50 per per-
son now through the end of the year. Visit
the website for more information. Don’t
delay another day! Register to play with
the CGA!
