N10 NEW NEIGHBOR SOCIAL
N10 held its first New Neighbor Social on May 20 at The Oaks. Approximately thirty-five attendees enjoyed the party
along with light refreshments provided by the officers and block captains. All new neighbors shared information about
themselves and listened to updates about neighborhood activities.
THE TRADITION CONTINUES
Ten years ago, Norman and Sandy Gratton (left) moved to Georgetown’s Sun City Texas from a Sun City in Las Vegas. They
quickly became the representatives for Neighborhood 26 and gave their first July 4 party in their backyard. Norm, the
chef, and Sandy, the chief organizer, led the celebration year after year and, each year, everyone helped—from food and
chairs, to tables and decorations. The neighborhood has grown now to over 100 homes, but the same fellowship still exists.
Many thanks to Norm and Sandy for starting and keeping this tradition of fellowship! Note: Sadly, Norman Gratton died
May 21, but in the neighborhood spirit, and with Sandy’s guidance, they will continue their annual July 4 picnic this year.
