or six spectacular evenings, the
Social Center Ballroom will be
transformed through song, dance
and award-winning acts—that’s right,
it is again time for the annual Follies!
The 2014 showcase, titled “A Night at
the Oscars,” is put on by the Actors &
Theatre Arts Guild (AcTAG) and is
inspired by the Academy Awards, fea-
turing performances taken fromOscar-
winning films.
After hours upon hours of rehearsal,
staging, and technical work, these hard-
working Sun City Texas residents are
guaranteed to put on a first-class show
to remember. There is something for
everyone—from vocal performances and
dance numbers, to comedy monologues
and drama skits—all implemented by
your Sun City Texas neighbors! The
show will incorporate acts from clas-
sic movies, including
Footloose, Gigi,
The Wizard of Oz
, and more, which are
sure to create a fun-filled experience
chronicled by cinema masterworks.
“A Night at the Oscars” is directed by
Rosemary Byers. Show times are 7 p.m.
from Monday, March 3 through Satur-
day, March 8, and doors open at 6:30
