CGA News

The Couples Golf Association (CGA) of-
ficially became one of the newest char-
tered clubs in January. A small commit-
tee of folks, acting upon great interest
here in Sun City Texas for a couples’ golf
group, worked on the development of the
club over the last several months.
We have had two playdays since the
first of the year with the next playday,
a noon shotgun, scheduled for Saturday,
March 8 at Cowan Creek. Playdays occur
every third Saturday. In addition, we
have three social events scheduled for
the upcoming season, including a CGA
Club Championship tournament and

Membership dues are only $15 per in-
dividual. You can join on the website or
at the Member Services Office. We are
excited to be one of the newest chartered
clubs in Sun City Texas and we look
forward to your participation. Since we
have golfers of various skill levels, you
will always be improving your game or
helping others to improve theirs!

Golf Talk Town Hall
Thursday, March 13, 3 p.m.,
SCB, FREE!
There will be a Golf Talk Town
Hall on Thursday, March 13 from
3-5 p.m. in the Social Center Ball-
room. This meeting is an oppor-
tunity for residents to meet the
golf staff, and learn more about
golf in Sun City Texas. The 2014
goals for Golf in Sun City Texas
will be presented, and residents
will receive an overview of the Golf
Committee and its important role
in the golf operation. Also includ-
ed in the presentation will be a
status update on several projects
and ongoing new programs. The
presentation will conclude with
a question and answer period re-
garding information presented
during the Golf Talk. This town
hall is a great and informative
opportunity for residents, and we
encourage everyone to attend!
