The AARP Driver Safety Program is the
nation’s first and largest classroomdriver
improvement course. There are no tests.
The programconsists of
one (1) four hour
session
and costs $14. The course helps
drivers refine existing skills and develop
safe defensive driving techniques. Both
AARP members and non-members may
take the course.
However, non-AARP members must
pay an extra $2 at the door. AARP
membersmust bring their AARPcard
to avoid this charge.
Upon completion of the course, graduates
MAY receive a discount on their automo-
bile insurance premiums. Please check
with your auto insurance carrier to see
what discount, if any, will apply.
AARP courses do not qualify for ticket

received approval to take this course in
place of a Defensive Driving Course.

Our audio and visual collection is grow-
ing, but we still have space for more, so
donations are welcome. We prefer CD
and DVD/BluRay formats. Some current
albums are unusable because of missing
discs; please check before returning the
album. Also, please look in your collec-
tion for “orphan” discs that may belong in
the Library’s collection. Look for the new
location at the other end of the non-fiction.
