BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
The fourth annual Blessing of the Animals will take place
on Friday, October 4, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cowan Creek
Amphitheater and Pavilion. All are invited to join, including
pets.
Dogs must be on leads and cats in kennels.
Orga-
nized by Judy Worth, a special program is planned. Come
honor the traditions demonstrated many years ago by St.
Francis of Assissi by celebrating the love of your pets and
the joy that they bring into your lives.
RODEO NIGHT – BRRRR!
All dressed up in their western best, keen-
ly anticipating the action of that night’s
rodeo, many Sun City residents were sur-
prised to see that the rodeo was taking
place at the indoor venue of Cedar Park
Center! And therein lies a tale – a freezing
tale! The air conditioning was so very low
that everyone had goose bumps. Ladies
cuddled up to their partners, men stoi-
cally crossed their arms. But their spirits
were not dampened, and they all roared
their encouragement and delight. A rip
roaring evening was enjoyed by all!
