Welcome

The Sun City Library is a friendly place where you can browse our collection of approximately 12,900 books and hundreds of DVDs! We also have a growing collection of books on CD.

Because of increased COVID-19 cases in the area, the Sun City Library is currently closed.
Watch this website or the CA Communicator for opening information.

When the library is open, masks are required and only 3 residents at a time can be inside the library space. If the space is full, a library monitor will ask that you wait outside in the hall standing on one of the floor marks for appropriate spacing. It's just a short wait.

Our library operates on the honor system. You are welcome to take any items that interest you. We do ask that you take no more than 5 books, audio books or videos per visit, or all books written by one author. When you are finished, return your materials to our book return bin, which is available even when the library is closed.

  • Our library carries popular current fiction in both hardback and paperback.
  • The collection also offers biographies, history, travel, gardening, westerns, mysteries, romance, DVD movies, audio-books, local authors and more.

Our collection is built entirely from donations, thanks to our generous Sun City residents! Please take a look at our donations guidelines to understand what we can and cannot accept.

If you are interested in being part of the volunteer team, please read about the jobs available and what that job entails on our Volunteer Information and Committees page.

Free wi-fi is available inside and outside the library through the Sun City Internet system.

A great book or movie is only a walk or a golf cart ride away!
