Friendly Reminder - Service Animal Rule
Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected]
I was recently asked what the rule is for animals in our facilities and below is from our Rules and Regulations that addresses this question. Unless the animal is trained to assist a disabled person, they should not be in our facilities. Please help us comply with this rule for everyone’s enjoyment of our facilities.
VI. Rules for Community Association Facilities (from our Rules and Regulations)
No Person shall permit a domestic pet or other animal to enter a Community Association facility, with the exception of animals trained to assist disabled persons who are under the direct control of such person.

Wildlife in Sun City Texas - Fawning Season
It's that time again! It's not unusual to see newborn fawns in May and June. Wildlife experts agree it is best to leave the young deer alone. Most of the time the mother is close by and will return to her fawn.
Why should we not feed the deer?
Feeding deer in Georgetown is ILLEGAL!
Providing food for deer, beyond their normal feeding habits, provides an imbalance in nutrients, which may cause problems with digestion, causes the deer to become habituated (lose their fear of humans), localizes deer to a particular neighborhood which could attract predators and provides food for unwanted animals like skunks, snakes, rats and raccoons.

July Sun Rays - Call for submissions
Freedom. It’s a word that resonates with all Americans, though the meaning may vary from person to person. For our July issue, Sun Rays wants to know: how do you define freedom? Has your definition changed over time? What does your freedom look like?
Send your definition to Jaime Calder at [email protected] by Friday, June 3 for consideration. We respectfully ask that submissions be limited to 250 words or less. Photographs encouraged.
