Then, circle a square full of history and snap photos of the 1897 Beaux-Arts style courthouse before we head off to check out The Grove – a ghost town. Lore and legends will see us on to lunch on your own and a self-guided tour of The National Mounted Warrior Museum at Fort Cavazos (formerly known as Fort Hood). Witness the heroism and challenges of the mounted warrior through an immersive exhibit gallery full of interactive encounters. Tanks, aircraft, and modern-day fighting vehicles are set in dynamic scenes portraying real-life action and tell the story of our brave warriors from horse mounted warfare to the global war on terror.
