Set in 1971 Virginia and based on real events, the film recounts the powerful story of how the revered institution of high school football became a battleground for racial integration. When the local school board merges an all-black school with an all-white school, deep-seated tensions threaten to tear the community apart. Amid the upheaval, the newly integrated football team must overcome their differences and unite, showing that teamwork and respect can triumph over prejudice. |
