Set in 1870s Montana, the film follows Henry Broadway, a young man tasked with avenging his dead father by killing the man who falsely accused him. Henry travels to the isolated town of Trinity to carry out his mission but becomes ensnared in a web of old, dark secrets and danger. Trapped in the town, he finds himself torn between new sheriff Gabriel Dove (Pierce Brosnan) and a shadowy figure known as St. Christopher (Samuel L. Jackson), as the line between justice and revenge begins to blur.
