NEW! The Sun City Rod & Gun Club will host a free program called Active Shooter Response which will be led by Stephen Simank, a retired Austin Police Officer and current trainer/instructor for Applied Response Solutions (ARS)/Guns+. This program is designed to enhance one's survival skills in a situation with an active shooter. ARS/Guns+ has provided this type of training for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, FEMA, church safety teams and schools. Recent tragic events in Texas and other states highlight the importance of knowing how to respond when caught in a critical situation. Graphic videos of past shootings will be used for illustration and attendees will be taught how to respond. No weapons will be used when conducting the hands-on-training.
