Small Group Practices

Small Group Practices:

  • Friends "make" you practice because there's a play date, you know...a deadline.
  • Teach each other, share skills and ideas.
  • If you are the Organizer, the bonus is that YOU get to pick the date, time, frequency, place, number of people. You can try it just one time, then if it was fun - do it again.
  • Meet in somebody's living room, on a porch, or at a common space in Sun City.
  • Play music for the upcoming Jam, or any skill the group wants to work on. Keep it simple, focus on one specific thing.
  • Announce your plan at a Jam to invite new Uke Buddies. Here's a form.
  • We'd love to see an Advanced Group form. Pick one date and try it, later on figure out what is next. It would be super cool if you could occasionally teach us something NEW at a Jam.
  • We would also love to have a group of Song Choosers to test-drive our song database and tell us which ones to add to the playlists. Or pick songs from anywhere and bring it!
  • These will be Self Organized Groups once you get rolling. Denise Arenson can help you lead & coordinate if you need guidance while you get started.

How to Sign up:

  • Pick a date and time, announce YOUR practice at a Jam to invite new friends to join you.
  •  Or wait until somebody announces a new Day & Time at a Jam, then sign with them.
  • Organizer takes the sign-up sheet, plans and contacts the group.
