For New Cloggers

American Clogging is a form of dance that originated in the Appalachian Mountains. It is a vigorous, energetic, and up-beat style of dance that is influenced by English, Irish, German, French, African, and even American Indian dance.

Clogging is great fun, whole-body exercise, and a challenging mental activity as well. Since January 2004, membership varies around 35 participants and currently has 58 cloggers.

The Cloggers hold weekly classes and practice sessions.  Please keep checking the Announcement section and the Calendar of this site for updated information regarding new Beginners Classes and events.

The Sun City Cloggers have performed for various Sun City club functions, events and neighborhood socials; for seniors' homes and local churches. You can see us on the stage of the annual Sun City Follies, Sun City Live, and the Georgetown Market Days.  Performing is always optional. Click here to view our past performances.

The Sun City Cloggers won 1st Place in the Sun City's Got Talent Show held in August 2015. The Cloggers won the 2nd Place in this same talent show held on August 13, 2016.
